CQC Regulation 18: Staffing has been updated to reflect the new requirement for all registered providers to ensure staff receive training on interacting with people with a learning disability and autistic people.
Summary of changes to COVID-19 guidance for adult social care providers - includes the changes to COVID testing (symptomatic and asymptomatic), contact of someone with COVID-19, PPE, management of waste, care home admissions and visiting arrangements in care homes, which came into effect from the beginning of April.

Changes to the requirement to wear facemasks in Primary Care - From 1 June health and care staff are no longer required to wear facemasks in non-clinical areas, and patients are not required to wear a facemask unless they are at high risk of infection. However, with the rise of COID-19 cases some providers may follow local guidance to reintroduce the wearing of face coverings in certain settings.

NHS staff to receive pay rise - On 19 July the government accepted the recommendations from the independent NHS pay review bodies in full. The lowest earners will receive up to 9.3% and eligible dentists and doctors will receive a 4.5% pay rise.
