Important Update
We are delighted to announce an important update to the Compliance Tools (Key Questions) section of your QCS Compliance Centre. This enhancement will not only better align your policies and procedures to the quality statements, ensuring you only see the most relevant policies for each quality statement, but it will make sharing documents during the inspection process a whole lot easier.
While we acknowledge that the scope of an inspection can change at any time, this new approach means that when you are notified of the quality statements likely to be covered in your CQC inspection, you'll have a clear understanding of which policies the CQC is most likely to request.
What will change? We will be making changes to the quality statements in each policy, reducing them to just one or two. Whilst we know there are often crossovers in many of the quality statements, we want to make sure they are allocated to the policies that the CQC expects to find them in.
When will this change take place? This won’t happen all at once. We’ll be carrying this out gradually, starting in mid-September 2024 with completion anticipated by the end of October 2024.
What impact will this have? This will not impact you at all. You will still be able to access policies in the usual way. The only difference you will notice over time is that less quality statements will be allocated to each policy.
